Niyi Adesanya

With an average of more than 100 presentations annually, Niyi is recognised as one of Nigeria’s foremost pragmatic and inspirational speakers, and a leading voice on Leadership Development in the country.

Since commencing his professional career in 2005, he has spoken in over 65 tertiary institutions and delivered keynote speeches to top officials of various institutions, including multinationals like Chevron, Etisalat, Seven-Up Bottling Company, and so on.

As a renowned Performance Strategist, Niyi speaks on key Life Mastery subjects including Leadership, Mastering Change, Peak Performance, Individual Competitiveness, and so on. He is a faculty member of various institutions in the country including the prestigious Daystar Leadership Academy.

He has an MSc in Agricultural Machinery Engineering from Cranfield University, U.K and a PhD in Agricultural Machinery Design and Development Engineering from the same university.

Over the course of his career, he has attained various remarkable achievements in the field of Science and Technology with a major focus on Agricultural Development. In 1998 he worked as the Director of Appropriate Technology and Community Development Institute, PNG, North Australia. From 1998-2000, he worked as the Director of Operations of F.E.A.P. Hq, Abuja, Nigeria.

Taiwo Francis Akerele is the Chief of Staff to the Edo State government, a position he has been occupying for over 2 years and still counting. He was the Project Coordinator for the World Bank Public Financial Management and Youth employment Program for Edo State up until he assumed the position he now occupies. He also served as Senior Policy Economist to the Governor from 2008 to 2011.

Taiwo trained at Harvard University, Massachusetts USA, Carlton University, Ottawa Canada, Stellenbosch University Cape Town South Africa, World Bank Institute Washington DC, the University of Ibadan and the University of Benin.

With an experience that spans over 10 years in the banking sector, Taiwo previously worked at the UBA (Strategy Group), FCMB (credit), Afribank (market intelligence) which is known as the old Fidelity Union Merchant Bank and the Lagos Business School. He was a founding member of the Center for Values in Leadership.

In his capacity as World Bank coordinator for Edo State, the administrator midwifed the PFM laws, the procurement laws, the néw audit laws, and the budget reform program for the state. As of 2016, the program had employed over 4,000 youths involved in public works program across Edo state. With over 15 years banking experience in commercial, retail, and micro-banking with core competence in retail, credit, sales and marketing, relationship management and business administration from Equity Bank (Later IBL), First Atlantic Bank (later FinBank) and Standard Trust Bank (later UBA Plc.), Akinwande has positioned himself as an astute leader and an expert in business management.

He is alumni of Harvard Business School and also a Board Composition & Roles member of the Chartered Institute of Credit Risk Management of Nigeria, Chartered Pension Institute of Nigeria and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. is the Deputy President of Finance House Association of Nigeria (FHAN) and a fellow of a number of professional bodies in Nigeria including the Institute of Credit Risk Management (ICRM), Institute of Chartered Management Accountant (ICMA), National Institute of Marketing (NIMN) and Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM). His interest has been in business and management strategy, credit analysis, sales, marketing, and organizational leadership.
